LSE Study on Nationalism in the GCC

This is part of the Kuwait Project on Development, Governance and Globalisation in the Gulf States being undertaken by the LSE.   The report is available here

Here is a description of the Kuwait Project.

There are more interesting publications from the Project available here.

And more to come judging by the list of proposed and in-process papers listed.

This looks like an excellent source of information and analysis on the GCC.

Thank you for your kind words about our programme - I coordinate its academic content.

In addition to our publications, we hold regular seminars and lectures in London and a biennial conference in Kuwait (the next one will be in March 2011 on the broad theme of the transformation of Gulf economies).

We are actually hosting Neil Partrick for a seminar on his paper on Nationalism in the Gulf on 13th January at the LSE, from 4.30-6pm.

Congratulations on an excellent blog and I look forward to meeting you at an event sometime.

I prefer to categorize my comments on the LSE/Kuwait Programme as "accurate" rather than "kind".

So congratulations on a job well done.

I'll add your site to my list of "Interesting Blogs and Other Links".

And thank you for your very kind comments on my blog.
